True Story of the Three Little Pigs
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs is an excellent childrens book which everyone should take the time to read. It is written by Jon Scieszka who has written a number of parodies on childrens stories and fairy tales. Some of these books include The Frog Prince, The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. The book is illustrated by Lane Smith, who has collaborated with Jon Scieska in the past. The story tells the familiar story of The Three Little Pigs but from the perspective of the wolf. The story is funny and the illustrations fit very well with the text. I would reccomend these books for grades Kindergarten and first grade.

This book is quite funny. There are a lot of uses for this book including writing from different perspectives.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this book too. OUr special ed class did the play the 3 little pigs a few years ago. I think they would love to hear this twist of the tale and I have told the teacher about it.
